Workout Update

Workouts have been good and steady.  I am in the second week of Phase 2 for this round of P90X.  Due to some ongoing tenderness from my achillies surgery, I have had to substitute some other activities for my favorite workout, Plyometrics.  Tonight it was some good interval training on the Stairmaster.  Tomorrow is Back and Biceps, which I'm looking forward to!  Nutrition has been 95% clean for all of January!  I fully expect to meet my weight loss and body fat % goals for this month, then attack the February goals with a vengeance!!

I hope anybody coming through here or lurking will stop in and say hello, or better yet, join me in living a healthy and fit lifestyle.  It is worth the effort, I can promise you that.  Let me know how I can help you!

Take care!  Jim

Failing Forward

Quote of the Day:

"I Failed Over And Over And Over Again In My Life And That Is Why I Succeed."

Michael Jordan

My friends, it's not about failing, it's about falling down and getting back up again, or, as John Maxwell says, "Failing Forward." I'm again reminded of some words in a favorite Lyle Lovett song: "And remembering the falling down and the laughter of the curse of luck, from all those sons of bit---es who said we'd never get back up..." We humans tend to get way too caught up in the crowd and what other people think. It takes courage to go beyond the mediocrity of the masses and rise up to new levels. That's why I'm so proud and happy to be here, to have found my fitness and health again with P90X, and to now have the opportunity to help others as well!  If you're here, and you're working and trying, and you fall down but you get back up, then it's in your DNA to succeed. You just have to Decide and Commit and stay in the game.

Make it so, my wonderful pals!!! Jim
